After winning the World Championship Trophy for Russia at the 2014 Worlds, Alex Ovechkin and Team Russia got to party with Russian President Vladimir Putin. 

Putin, in particular, expressed his love for Ovechkin with this tender embrace of the NHL's leading scorer's face:

Then the Russian players poured Veuve Clicquot - which is great champagne and not that weak sparkling wine garbage (sparkling wine is kind of like the World Championships of champagne, come to think of it) - into the trophy:
