Rangers' Moore to face NHL hearing for late hit on Canadiens' Weise

Not much surprise here: The NHL announced Tuesday night that Rangers defenseman John Moore will have a hearing with the department of player safety on Wednesday for his late hit in Game 5 on Canadiens forward Dale Weise.
Moore was assessed a match penalty, and the Canadiens forced Game 6 with the 7-4 victory over the Rangers.
"We didn't like that hit," Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher said, via ESPN New York. "For me, comparing it to the hit that Prusty had, Prusty's was late and that was the right call by the league, but I think this one was late as well and at the same time it had the blind side and Weiser's helmet came off. It was just a dangerous play and we'll let the league take care of it."
