Oilers acquire the rights to Blue Jackets D Nikita Nikitin

The Edmonton Oilers announced Wednesday they acquired the rights to defenseman Nikita Nikitin from the Columbus Blue Jackets. The reported deal is worth $9-million over two years.

The pending free agent had 15 points in 66 games for the Blue Jackets last season.
