Oilers sign D Mark Fayne to 4-year, $14.5 million deal

The Edmonton Oilers wasted little time addressing their defense in free agency by signing Mark Fayne to a four-year deal worth a reported $14.5 million.

Fayne will earn $3.5 million per year along with a $500,000 signing bonus. The 27-year-old was relied upon to face tough competition and defensive zone starts with the New Jersey Devils while still posting a positive CF rel percentage.
