Capitals sign G Justin Peters to 2-year, $1.9M deal

The Washington Capitals addressed a need at goaltender by signing free agent Justin Peters to a two-year contract.

Peters posted a .923 save percentage at even-strength in 21 games with the Carolina Hurricanes in 2013-14, but found himself behind Cam Ward and Anton Khudobin on the team's depth chart. The 28-year-old joins Braden Holtby in Washington's crease.
