The Dallas Stars made a few moves on the first day of free agency and one of those was signing forward Ales Hemsky.
General manager Jim Nill told reporters, "Ales Hemsky is an accomplished, skilled winger who has great vision and finish. His right-handed shot will complement our forward group nicely and provide balance throughout out lineup."
After being traded out of the Edmonton Oilers organization, Hemsky flourished with the Ottawa Senators scoring 17 points in 20 games.
