Newly signed Minnesota Wild forward Thomas Vanek introduced himself to the Twin Cities sports faithful by throwing the first pitch at Saturday's game between the Minnesota Twins and the New York Yankees.
Vanek played it safe, lobbing the ball high over the plate to Phil Hughes. He described his pitch as "a little bit high, but I was a little nervous so just making sure I got it there."
Don't worry, Wild fans: he shoots harder than he throws.
