For the first time since undergoing ACL surgery on his right knee in mid-February, Pittsburgh Penguins forward Pascal Dupuis returned to the ice for a light skate on Wednesday, the club announced.
The 35-year-old winger initially sustained his injury when he was hip-checked by Ottawa Senators defender Marc Methot in late December.
Though Dupuis is able to return to the ice, he's not yet cleared for contact. The timetable for Dupuis' recovery was quoted at 6-8 months in late February, so on the optimistic end, he could be ready to rejoin the Penguins lineup at some point during training camp.
