Hurricanes GM: 'No issues' with Semin's surgically-repaired wrist
Carolina Hurricanes general manager Ron Francis debunked a report that Alexander Semin's surgically-repaired wrist is "not fully recovered," saying he expects the Russian forward to arrive at training camp at full steam.
"My understanding was that he was coming back to train,” Francis said, via the team's official website. “He’s training, according to his agent, a couple times a day and doing therapy on the wrist as well. There were no issues with the wrist, as far as I was told.”
When asked if Semin would be 100 percent by the start of training camp in mid-September, Francis said, "Based on the information I have, absolutely yes."
Semin missed 17 games last season due to the injury, and is believed to have been hampered by wrist issues since training camp last September.
