David Krejci: Agrees To Six-Year, $43M Extension
Krejci and the Bruins have come to terms on a six-year, $43.5 million extension, Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe reports.
Analysis:
In locking up Krejci before next summer, the Bruins were able to keep the center off the open market, where an even higher bidding war between multiple clubs likely would have occurred. The 28-year-old was largely invisible for the Bruins during their early exit in the playoffs in 2013-14, but he's finished as a top-three scorer for the team in each of the last six regular seasons.
