Brian Leetch will not return to his job in the NHL front office next season, as first reported by New York Post columnist Larry Brooks in August.
Per Sportsnet's Chris Johnston:
Brian Leetch has left the NHL's department of player safety. That leaves two vacancies, including the soon-to-be-filled head job.

Leetch joined the NHL Department of Player Safety in August 2013, replacing fellow Hall of Fame defenseman Rob Blake as Brendan Shanahan's right-hand man.
With Leetch's departure, rumors that he'll reunite with Shanahan in the Toronto Maple Leafs front office are sure to heat up.
