Armed men have seized control of KHL team Donbass Donetsk's home arena in Ukraine, the team announced Wednesday.
The ongoing armed conflict in eastern Ukraine has created numerous difficulties for Donbass, which was forced to temporarily relocate to an arena in Slovakia during last season's playoffs. The arena in Donetsk was looted and burned after Donbass was eliminated from the postseason in May.
It is unclear whether the same people who burned the arena are also responsible for seizing control of the building's offices.
