Report: Bobby Ryan offered 7-year extension from Senators
Jerome Miron / USA TODAY Sports
The Senators have reportedly tabled a seven-year offer to pending unrestricted free agent forward Bobby Ryan, per the Ottawa Sun.
Ryan, who remains intent on establishing an expanded role before signing on the dotted line, has reportedly been offered a multitude of short- and long-term deals, suggesting the Senators will do what it takes to keep him under their label.
Accepting the seven-year deal would provide the insurance many covet, but Ryan appears keen on maximizing his potential earnings and isn't worried about the uncertainty.
Ryan says contract won't be an issue. "When you get out there you forget about it," says Ryan. #Sens
