Ducks GM on goaltending: 'We're going to run with the 2 kids'

The league's most intriguing training camp position battle will arguably reside in the Anaheim Ducks' crease.
Frederik Andersen and John Gibson - two players whose mean age barely crosses the threshold of adulthood - may lack experience, but they make up for it in raw, staggering talent.
That said, this isn't just any goaltending job; the Ducks have realistic Stanley Cup aspirations, as evidenced by general manager Bob Murray's honest assessment of Anaheim's goaltending picture.
"We’re going to run with the two kids, and we’ll see how it goes," Murray said via ProHockeyTalk.
He didn't exactly disparage his goalie duo, but obviously undersold Andersen and Gibson, who sport sterling numbers at the NHL level:
| Player | Record | Goals against | Save percentage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Andersen | 20-5-0 | 2.29 | 0.923 |
| Gibson | 3-0-0 | 1.33 | 0.954 |
