Orlov (wrist) will start the season on injured reserve, Alex Prewitt of The Washington Post reports.
Analysis:
Orlov has been skating on his own during training camp as he works his way back from a wrist injury sustained during the 2014 IIHF World Championships in Belarus while playing for the gold medal winning Team Russia. Once healthy, Orlov figures to be reunited with Mike Green, and although he should get some favorable matchups on a deep Capitals defense corps, he isn't likely to garner enough significant minutes to be an effective contributor from a fantasy perspective.
