Canucks' Kevin Bieksa expected to play in season opener vs. Flames
Vancouver Canucks defenseman Kevin Bieksa, who hurt his shoulder during a preseason tilt against the Edmonton Oilers last week, was a game-time decision for Wednesday night's season opener against the Calgary Flames.
After joining his teammates for Wednesday's pre-game skate, Bieksa took line rushes with Ryan Stanton - his most frequent defense partner last season.
So it would appear that Bieksa is a go for Vancouver's first game of the regular season.
