Could Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin be the first player fined under the NHL's new anti-diving regime? If he pulls something like he did on Thursday night against the Montreal Canadiens again, he probably should be.
In the first period of Thursday night's game between the Canadiens and Capitals, Ovechkin appeared to sell a hooking call in a major way. Ovechkin looked to have been only minimally hooked by Canadiens superstar defender P.K. Subban, but his response was, well, a bit over the top:

Subban received a two-minute hooking minor on the play, but will Ovechkin be hearing from the league after the game?
