The Boston Bruins had a scare Thursday when center Patrice Bergeron left the game after a hit by Detroit Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall.
Bergeron, who returned minutes later, went to the dressing room with a trainer following behind him. After the Bruins' 2-1 loss, head coach Claude Julien said that Bergeron did go to the quiet room.
"He respected the protocol, he felt OK, he went in, because that's what we should do and that's the right thing to do," Julien said.
Bergeron is no stranger to concussions and when asked how he felt after the hit, he said he wasn't worried. "No, I wasn't. No, not at all."
