Long ago, the Montreal Canadiens symbolically embraced the torch from John McCrae's iconic poem "In Flanders Fields", and to this day they incorporate the flaming torch into their home opening ceremony every fall.
This year legendary Canadiens goaltender Ken Dryden handed off the torch to goaltender Carey Price:
