New York Islanders fans endured a scary sight Thursday night when Mikhail Grabovski was hit by San Jose Sharks tough guy John Scott, but it appears Grabovski's injuries are not as severe as initially feared.
According to Arthur Staple of Newsday, Grabovski avoided a concussion on the hit and will be evaluated for an upper-body injury on Friday.
Grabovski was down on the ice holding his head for some time before being helped to the dressing room.
He has three points in four games this season.
