Report: Sabres price high for Myers in fear of looking 'silly' after trade
The Buffalo Sabres have reportedly been listening to offers for defenseman Tyler Myers. The Detroit Red Wings keep popping up as a suitor, although no deal has come close to completion due to the high price the Sabres are asking for their young blue liner.
Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports, "... teams believe Buffalo’s asking price for Tyler Myers is so high because of a worry he’ll go to a better team and make them look silly for trading him."
Well, that's highly possible.
The Sabres, when in talks with the Red Wings, reportedly requested prospect Anthony Mantha and Gustav Nyquist.
