Avalanche coach Roy: Varlamov will play Friday vs. Canucks
Colorado Avalanche goaltender Semyon Varlamov will be in goal Friday against the Vancouver Canucks, head coach Patrick Roy confirmed Thursday.
Roy told reporters Varlamov will play Friday, three days after the coach said the starter would be "ready to go" for the game.
Varlamov has missed three games with a groin injury. He was placed on injured reserve last Thursday.
