VIDEO: Blackhawks' Raanta stretches out to deny Predators' Beck
Don McPeak / USA Today
Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Antti Raanta was lights-out on Thursday against every Nashville Predators player not named James Neal - just ask Taylor Beck.
Beck had a golden opportunity early in the third period when the puck came to him alone in front of Raanta. He spun on his backhand to slide the puck in, but Raanta stretched out along the ice and got his right pad in front of the shot.
Unfortunately for Raanta, Neal scored a hat trick and the Predators handed Chicago its first regulation loss of the season.
