Los Angeles Kings forward Anze Kopitar left Sunday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets late in the second period with an upper-body injury, and did not return.
Kopitar left the game with about seven minutes remaining in the second period.
The injury may have occurred on this hit by Blue Jackets defenseman Tim Erixon.
Kopitar has been one of the most durable players in the NHL in recent years. He's missed one regular-season game since the start of the 2011-12 season.
Head coach Darryl Sutter channeled Matthew McConaughey (and provided little detail) when asked bout Kopitar's status after the game.
Sutter, on severity of Kopitar's injury: "He's all right." On whether he'll travel on the road trip: "He's all right."
