Don't mess with Dustin Byfuglien.
John Mitchell took exception to a hit by Byfuglien on Tyson Barrie in the second period of Sunday's game between the Colorado Avalanche and the Winnipeg Jets - a decision he might regret in hindsight.
Barrie turned to play the puck in the corner and was hammered by the imposing Byfuglien, who is no stranger to erasing opponents along the boards. When Mitchell confronted Byfuglien about the hit, he also ended up on the ice.
Byfuglien was called for roughing for his hit on Mitchell, who received a roughing double-minor for his troubles.
