One way or another, Edmonton Oilers captain Andrew Ference will have to face the music after this nasty open-ice hit on Vancouver Canucks forward Zack Kassian on Saturday night.
It's all there in plain sight. Ference leaves his feet, targets Kassian's head, and will certainly receive a call from the NHL offices - whom he's dealt with before.
Ference didn't quite see it the same way, however.
Ference didn't think it was a high hit on Kassian and was surprised to get a penalty.
