Columbus Blue Jackets forward Artem Anisimov took a positive step in his recovery from a suspected concussion by practicing in a limited capacity on Wednesday.
Anisimov skated with the club while wearing a red no-contact sweater, according to Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch.
He's been on injured reserve since being designated on Nov. 3, six days after taking a hard hit to the head from Ottawa Senators defenseman Eric Gryba.
Portzline reported Anisimov was expected to miss a week on Oct. 29, but with the caveat that concussions are hard to predict. It's been two weeks to the day since that assessment, but Blue Jackets fans have to be encouraged by Anisimov's progress.
