Flames' Setoguchi clears waivers, reassigned to Adirondack

Calgary Flames forward Devin Setoguchi has cleared waivers and been reassigned to Adirondack of the AHL, the club announced Thursday.
Setoguchi, who scored 31 goals and managed 65 points as a 22-year-old just five years ago, has fallen pretty far in record time. His contract pays him only $750,000, so there would have been literally no risk for an NHL club interested in adding some wing depth.
When you can't beat out the likes of Markus Granlund, Josh Jooris, Michael Ferland and Lance Bouma for playing time, teams start to believe you can't help them win games, apparently.
