Avalanche's John Mitchell injures leg, unlikely to return Saturday vs. Stars

The Colorado Avalanche are likely to be without depth center John Mitchell, who sustained a leg injury during Saturday night's game between the Avalanche and the Dallas Stars, according to a report from Adrian Dater of the Denver Post.

Dater said Mitchell is doubtful to return to the contest. 

Mitchell, 29, has managed three goals and five points in 16 games for the Avalanche this season.
