David Backes will be back in game action Thursday, three days after taking a puck to the face.
St. Louis Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock confirmed Backes will play against the New York Islanders.
He will, however, be rocking some extra equipment for the time being.
Hitch said Backes will have to wear a face shield for quite a while when he returns. #stlblues
