PHOTO: Penguins' Crosby ready to play despite apparent illness
The term sick day doesn't apply to Sidney Crosby.
Or perhaps he's just stocking up for another long, cold winter.
The Pittsburgh Penguins superstar returned to practice in advance of Friday's game against the Calgary Flames, after sitting out the previous day due to an apparent illness.
And when we say apparent, we mean very apparent.

Nevertheless, Crosby confirmed that he'll be in the lineup for Friday's tilt with the Flames, and dispelled any notion that he's contracted a case of the mumps.
After cameras were turned off, Sidney Crosby noted that if had the mumps he would not be at the arena getting ready to play. #Penguins

We'll take your word for it, Sid.
