The Toronto Maple Leafs have called up goaltender Christoper Gibson from the AHL in advance of Sunday's game against the Florida Panthers, according to James Mirtle of the Globe and Mail.
No immediate reason was given for the recall. Jonathan Bernier is expected to get the start Sunday, while it was believed James Reimer would go Monday in Tampa Bay.
Gibson posted a record of 6-9-2 with a .919 save percentage in 17 games for the Toronto Marlies.
