The New York Islanders are welcoming starting goalie Jaroslav Halak back to the lineup.

Head coach Jack Capuano announced Halak will start Monday's game against the Washington Capitals.

The 29-year-old hasn't played since Dec. 20 due to a lower-body injury.

In 24 games for the Islanders he has posted a 18-6-0 record with three shutouts and a .919 save percentage.
