VIDEO: Canucks honor Panthers' Luongo in return to Vancouver
The Vancouver Canucks honored Roberto Luongo with a video tribute Thursday in his first game back in Vancouver since being traded to the Florida Panthers.
"Welcome home Lui," the video says. "Thanks for eight great years."
Luongo made 367 starts for Vancouver, winning 252 games and posting a 2.36 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage. He helped the Canucks reach the Stanley Cup final in 2011 but his time in Vancouver came to an unceremonious end after he signed a massive contract extension and was unable to live up to the correspondingly lofty expectations.

Canucks fans gave Luongo a standing ovation after the video was played on the scoreboard, bringing the goaltender to the verge of tears.
