GIF: Sidney Crosby takes skate to the groin
Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby has had a whole bag of bad luck in recent weeks.
The skilled centerman, who was recently diagnosed with the mumps virus - which can cause Orchitis (a medical term referring to the swelling of the testicles) and infertility in those afflicted - was nearly injured on Saturday night when he went to check Montreal Canadiens forward Jiri Sekac, and ended up getting kicked in a rather sensitive area by Sekac's skate.

Ouch.
Crosby's reaction to the collision really says it all:

Not that it's any consolation, but footage of this incident makes Crosby a leading contender to win the inaugural Springfield Film Festival.
Thankfully Crosby wasn't injured on the play. He remained in the game and cashed in the game-winning goal in overtime.
