Bruins' Marchand suspended 2 games for slew-foot on Rangers' Brassard

Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand has been suspended two games for slew-footing New York Rangers forward Derick Brassard.

The NHL Department of Player Safety video shows Marchand kicking Brassard's skates out while shoving his upper body backward, which fits the definition of slew-footing. The proximity to the boards makes the action even more dangerous.
The video also cites Marchand's status as a repeat offender as a factor in the decision. The 26-year-old has been suspended twice and fined once previously in his career.
