Avalanche recall G Reto Berra from conditioning assignment
Chris Humphreys / USA TODAY Sports
Colorado Avalanche goaltender Reto Berra was recalled from his conditioning assignment at AHL Lake Erie on Sunday.
Analysis:
The goalie had spent a full week in the minors in order to give Calvin Pickard the opportunity to pick up a start. Berra made three starts during his stay with Lake Erie, posting an unimpressive 2.98 GAA and .889 save percentage. The Avalanche will carry three goalies for the time being, with Berra representing the team's third option.
