The Canadiens have assigned Christian Thomas to AHL Hamilton, the team's official site reports.
Analysis:
Thomas, who did not record a point in his three-game stint with the Habs, returns to Hamilton, where he has notched 14 points in 29 games to date. He's a candidate for a recall after the NHL All-Star break when the team next looks for some depth up front.
