Nashville Predators forward Filip Forsberg will play in the NHL All-Star Game, the club announced on Thursday.
He replaces Pittsburgh Penguins star Evgeni Malkin, who has been ruled out with a lower-body injury.
Forsberg was already scheduled to take part in the rookie portion of the All-Star Fantasy Draft on Friday and the All-Star Skills Competition on Saturday.
He is the only rookie set to play in Sunday's game.
Forsberg leads all rookies with 40 points in 45 games.
