The Vancouver Canucks swapped defensive prospects Thursday, acquiring Adam Clendening from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for Gustav Forsling, the teams confirmed.
A second-round pick in 2011, Clendening is the more experienced of the two, having appeared in four games for the Blackhawks.
The undersized Forsling starred for Sweden at the 2015 World Junior Hockey Championship, attaining all-tournament honors. He was drafted 126th overall by the Canucks last June and is honing his craft back home.
