PHOTO: Islanders wear 'fisherman' throwback jerseys during warm-ups

Captain Highliner is back on Long Island - for warm-ups, anyway.
The New York Islanders gave a nod to their most ambitious fashion statement ahead of Tuesday's game against the Florida Panthers, wearing throwback warm-up jerseys featuring the infamous "fisherman" Islanders logo.
The jersey - considered one of the uglier jerseys to ever grace an NHL ice surface - became the franchise's main look in 1995, but the change was short-lived due to the universally negative reaction to the tacky design.

The jerseys were worn as part of an ongoing campaign to honor Islanders history in the team's final season at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
