Canadiens sweep season series with regulation wins over Bruins for 1st time in 70 years
The Montreal Canadiens have achieved a goal not met in 70 years.
With a 3-1 win over the Bruins in Boston, the Canadiens swept the season series with their rivals with four regulation wins, accomplishing the feat for the first time since the 1944-45 season.
Carey Price was the unquestioned first star of the night, making 35 saves - including one in style - while continuing his recent dominance over the Bruins.

It took a David Pastrnak goal that barely crossed the line for the Bruins to finally end Price's shutout streak against them at 159:25.
In recent years, this rivalry has largely been defined by the play of the club's respective goaltenders. With the win, Price improved his career record to 21-8-3, while Tuukka Rask fell to 3-13-3 against the Canadiens.
Based on the NHL's playoff format, there's reason to believe these teams could be headed for another postseason battle, with Price and the Canadiens no doubt feeling as confident as ever about their chances.
