New York Islanders forward Mikhail Grabovski was forced from Thursday's matchup with the Nashville Predators after suffering an upper-body injury on this open-ice hit from Eric Nystrom.
Grabovski laid flat for several moments after slamming his head on the ice, prompting medical personnel to bring out the stretcher. Its use, however, wasn't proven necessary as he eventually sat up under his own power.
He did not return to the game.
A similar incident occurred back in October when Grabovski was helped off the ice following a collision with San Jose Sharks enforcer John Scott.
