Flames' Gaudreau takes first penalty of career in 57th game
Candice Ward / USA TODAY Sports
To say Johnny Gaudreau doesn't take a lot of penalties would be an understatement. The Calgary Flames forward was assessed the very first infraction of his NHL career Monday night.
Gaudreau played the first 55 games of this season and one game in 2013-14 without being whistled for a penalty, but that streak is now over.
He was handed a double-minor for high-sticking Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak late in the second period.
Don't worry, Johnny. Your Lady Byng Memorial Trophy candidacy is still alive and well.
