Oilers lose Jeff Petry, Anton Lander to injuries
Chris LaFrance / USA TODAY Sports
The Edmonton Oilers will be without arguably their best trade chip, Jeff Petry, for the closing moments of Wednesday's contest with the Boston Bruins, and potentially beyond.
He was drilled in the midsection by a slap shot from Adam McQuaid and headed the dressing room with the training staff before the team announced he was finished for the night.
Petry, an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season, is expected to be dealt before the March 2 deadline, pending his health status.
Anton Lander is also done for the game after suffering a shoulder injury.
