The New York Rangers are reportedly interested in adding to their lineup for a playoff push and have already missed out on forward Daniel Winnik and defenseman Andrej Sekera, both traded Wednesday.
The Rangers don't appear ready to give up on acquiring a player, though. TSN's Bob McKenzie reported on NBCSN's "NHL Live" that Toronto Maple Leafs forward Tyler Bozak is on New York's radar.
"One name that's been linked to the New York Rangers is Tyler Bozak, a center with the Toronto Maple Leafs, who would not be an easy deal to do because of the financial implications."
"Bozak has term and dollars left on his deal, so it's not easy for a cap team like the New York Rangers. But at least that's one player's name who's out there as maybe the Rangers having some interest if they could find a way to facilitate the dollars."
Bozak, who has 16 goals and 21 assists in 60 games, comes with a cap hit of $4.2 million and is signed through the 2017-18 season.
