VIDEO: Jordan Leopold explains his daughter's viral trade letter

Jordan Leopold was traded from the Columbus Blue Jackets to the Minnesota Wild on Monday, but that wasn't the most significant news involving the defenseman.
The emergence of a letter from Leopold's daughter Jordyn caused quite a stir, and Dad explained how the letter came to fruition Tuesday.

According to Jordan, his daughter wrote the letter in January, which was then posted to Facebook by his wife.
A friend of the family, who worked for the radio station that leaked the letter, grabbed it off the social media site and it became a viral sensation on trade deadline day.
"I actually told my wife, I think she should take it down before trade deadline," joked Leopold.
The 34-year-old veteran has three points in 25 games and was once a productive point-producing defenseman for the Buffalo Sabres, earning 35 points in 71 games in 2010-11.
