The Florida Panthers will be without their top two goaltenders for the foreseeable future.
Roberto Luongo will miss the club's next two games - on Thursday against the Dallas Stars and Saturday against the New York Islanders - with the apparent shoulder injury he suffered in Tuesday's loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Al Montoya sustained a groin injury in Tuesday's game and is expected to miss the next two weeks, according to head coach Gerard Gallant.
The Panthers hope to have Luongo back for next Thursday's game against the Winnipeg Jets.
The club recalled netminders Dan Ellis and Sam Brittain from the minors on Wednesday.
