Ducks' Vatanen, Beleskey will travel on upcoming road trip
Anaheim Ducks defenseman Sami Vatanen and forward Matt Beleskey will join their teammates aboard the team's flight to Vancouver after Friday's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Head coach Bruce Boudreau confirmed that the injured pair will accompany the team on the upcoming road trip, which begins with a game against the Vancouver Canucks on Monday.
Vatanen and Beleskey may not play in any of the three games on the trip, which also includes stops in Calgary and Minnesota, but they could be ready by the next homestand.
The Ducks return home to face the Nashville Predators on March 15.
Beleskey and Vatanen both departed Anaheim's 5-3 loss to the Washington Capitals on Feb. 15 with injuries, and neither has played since.
The forward is dealing with an upper-body injury and the defenseman has a lower-body ailment. Beleskey was given a two-to-four-week timetable and Vatanen was ruled out four-to-six weeks on Feb. 17.
