Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick took matters into his own hands against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday, and his counterpart nearly joined him.
Quick threw several punches after being run by Henrik Sedin late in the second period, and Canucks netminder Eddie Lack skated to center ice before being shooed back to his crease by the officials.
Quick and Sedin received coincidental roughing minors for their roles in the melee.
After the game, Lack said he would have accepted the challenge had he been allowed to enter the fray.
"If he wanted it, I would have gone for sure" - Lack, on Quick's fight challenge. #Canucks
